  The name „Holländerboot“ as well as the design originates from the factory
  founder Otto Greiner (1920s), who often was in the Netherlands.
  “Holländerboot” is a term for fisher cutter and special type fishing boats,
  which possesses the following characteristics: broad hull with a flat ground
  and mostly equipped with “Segelschwarte”. This type of ship was very typical
  for the Netherlands with its shallow inshore waters. Therefore these ships
  were sold as “Holländerboote” already at that time.
